We give our hats off to Crystal for the phrase "Our Ten Cents". She's an incredible mentor to so many young professionals in the industry, she's often sought for her advice. She'll give you advice and then say "that's my ten cents because it's worth more than two!". What a power punch! We wanted to create a space where women are valued for their opinion and encouraged to speak up. This mentality is especially important for women who work in an environment where they go unnoticed, are devalued, or forgotten when at the table. At Our Ten Cents, women always have a seat at the table and a chance to speak.
With Our Ten Cents, we're providing a deeper look into women-owned businesses and non-profits. We create and sell fun merchandise that empowers women in all fields, especially those where women are the minority. Finally, we are writing articles that discuss all taboo topics women face like how they should wear their hair at the office, why companies don't make real pockets for women's clothes, or why only women are asked if they'll continue to work when they start a family.
We're happy to give you Our Ten Cents.
I co-founded Our Ten Cents to provide a safe space for women to be themselves and be heard.

I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a godmother, a cousin, a friend, a mentor, a mentee, a leader, an employee, a woman, and most of all, I am me. I am unapologetic for speaking up and often misunderstood but I take care of and am loyal to those I love. I am an advocate for women and girls. I am passionate about helping others and empowering women. I believe in uplifting women and helping them to find their voice. We are all unique and bring different things to the table and as such should have a seat. I want all women and girls to know that all things are possible when you work hard and speak up. That’s my ten cents, because it’s worth more than two.

I grew up with a strong grandmother and mother to guide me into the strong woman I'm becoming. I've worked in Finance since 2015 and quickly noticed how male dominated it is, even in the classroom. I'm always trying to practice raising my voice and learning how to speak up. My goal is to encourage other women to do the same and with every climb on the ladder, I know it's important to turn around and help the next woman step up, as well.
I've always been surrounded by women who wanted to make a difference and found myself wanting to do the same. I often ask myself why women should follow the norm and not make their own rules. Our Ten Cents created a space where women can ask questions and be themselves. I hope to continue the conversation on all things taboo in and outside the workplace.
To create a community for women like us: women who are assertive, who are leaders, and all in all, for women to be completely themselves. We promote the success of women and women who are on their way. We are women making the table where other women always have a seat and are encouraged to speak up; to give their ten cents.
